The trick lies in the planning. Since that actually is my title, I couldn't pass up a read for this book, Time Management for Systems Administrators by Thomas Limoncelli. I got it when I was a system administrator and doing kind of developer stuff kind of on the side for the company. These are good systems, but I've always had a hell of a time making them work. Book recommendation - I think on Brent Ozar's site - for a 2006 book entitled "Time management for system administrators", by Tom Limoncelli (see his blog at http://everythingsysadmin.com/, he seems like good people). ERIC: So, this actually kind of ties in with Getting Things Done; it's “Time Management for System Administrators”. For a sysadmin, you've got Getting Things Done, Time Management for System Administrators. Fraser Speirs on “Time Management for System Administrators”: You know time management is in short supply when O'Reilly is writing books about it. If you need assistance, read the book “Time Management for System Administrators” by Thomas A.
